Selling your designer items

I wanted to create a store where I could sell custom designed stuff. The idea was to start off with print on demand stickers for chargers and cables … it turned out way harder than I thought.

Selling your designer items

I spent a ton of reseach and came up with three options for print on demand: Printify, Prodigi and Gelato.

The sheets from Printify never arrived due to Swedish Postnord sending the customs declaration letters two days after the package had been returned to Printify.

Prodogi arrived but only had home delivery as an option. So the package arrived mashed into my mailbox.

unfortunately their kiss cut precision was fairly unprecise for the small details. Plus each sheet came with a 125:- custom handling fee on top of the production cost so the margins on that would be almost zero … not to mention the horrible customer experience it would be if I had people go through the same order and customs journey.

So I ended up printing the sheets on Stikker App and only selling them in Europe for now.

First of all. Customs, taxes and shipping would be a huge markup on the sticker sheets. But I never thought they would break the idea.
