Nofont – 4th edition.
I’m Andreas Carlsson, a freelance art director. Nofont is my online home.
This site is now in its 4th incarnation. I like to think of this version as the special features disc that comes with your favourite DVD.
My goal is to show a sneak peak of what happens behind the scenes, to add the director’s commentary and the “making of” stories.
I have worked in media, online and design for over 10 years. During that time I have collected, created and shared quite a lot of information. I have written an article here, been in a meeting there, discussed things over a business lunch, written some idea-filled e-mails, and produced commercial stuff for a living and off-commercial stuff just for fun.
Until now all this has been scattered and spread out, “distributed” if you want to put a positive spin on it. Now I want to bring it all back into one place, compile it in to one source.
At its core my work is about communication, and so is Nofont.
My background
When I started working in 1997 my plan was to work for 2 years in editorial design, 2 years in web and interactive design, an additional 2 years in marketing and advertising, and finally another 2 years in motion graphics.
I finished the first three steps in my plan. When the time came for the fourth step, I decided to go freelance for the second time. I still don’t regret that decision.
