The Office - Part IV

August 28th, 2008

Today was a good day, good but strange. It was supposed to be about surfaces, shapes and wet paint …

… but instead today became all about those waiting. Waiting in the back to come out of their boxes, to come out of their jars and their cans. Those impatient ones that want to come out of the dark and engage into battle, get down to work, play that music again. Those who want to be dusted off and serve a purpose, to be lined up in the windows and shelves again after all these years. Today was for all those crazy ones … and Gad have I missed them too.

The plan is to have the office up and running on monday 1st of September.

This one is just too good to be true!

The Office - Part III

August 25th, 2008

… so it’s been a while since the new office was on the to-do list. But now it’s high-priority.

The complete office

The plan is to create different sections:

The complete office

Workplaces (1 - bottom) for me, my wife Malin and our friend Viktoria. The wall behind will be decorated with some really old and torn letters from signs that I have found.

Workplaces

The temple (1 - upper left) - Raised area inspired by asian houses, thai pillows, Hellboy and more. Used for meetings, lunches and relaxing. Next to that is the holy decks and some of the vinyls will be stored in the green shelves.

The temple and the decks

The fireplace (1 - upper right) - Dark, red and brown corner where you can hide away for some reading or thinking. There will be a cinema chair and a retro TV showing the quite tacky Fireplace-DVD :-)

The factory (2) - the place for hands on work, cutting, pasting, drawing and more. You don’t have to keep the area clean all the time, if you start something there it can be left for a week or two. The space can also be used as a product/packshot mini-photostudio and meetings if needed.

Kitchen (3).

Progress after day 1:

The temple after day 1

The cinema after a day. Not that red and dark yet …

The place for our desks. The large windows give a really nice light.

To be continued …

Recognise the footprints ... and turn them into trails
We need to get away from what has been to find new sources of inspiration and ideas. We need to interact within ourselves to be able to develop thoughts and ideas that are truly unique.

Nofont is not about technology, it's about getting away from the «what» and «how». Nofont is about the «why». The «why» as in ideas and experiments. Experiments with language and communication. With typography and letterforms.
Nofont is kindly hosted by Bluehost.com.

Thank you Jaan Orvet, Hannes Tydén, Sami Sinärve.
