It doesn’t have to be glossy paper, 4 color, large size print. It just have to get the message out there. And by the way, is the “A” half full or half empty?

The Tidyman book
August 15th, 2008The release of the book is quite close now, hopefully 4-5 weeks away. The book will be up for sale on Lulu.com and be called “Tidyman - A graphic collection of one of our most used but unseen pictograms”.

The book is about Tidyman, the little figure throwing litter in the bin on almost every package there is in the world. Tidyman is one of the most spread pictograms yet often hidden away in some far corner of the product wrapping that we almost forget about him or her.
Around 1997 I started collecting different Tidymen cos once you take a close look you’ll see that there is a lot of humour built into the pictogram by various designers. The book will exhibit about 70-80 of them.

Fancy is in the eyes of the beholder. Need I say more. Unfortunately the store was closed cos it would have been interesting to see the interiors.

Vasavagen - Linköping Sweden 2008 “Hippie stencil”
